Think Big But Start Small

I’ve looked back over my life and identified what strategies led me to where I am.

These strategies are both timeless and timely.

They have brought me from a 6-figure, to a 7-figure, to a now 8-figure business.

These strategies aren’t just important for your business, though. They are important for your entire life.

They are important because your life, family, hopes, dreams, and goals are at stake. These strategies are what will make a difference in those areas and get you the life you want.

We’re all trading our lives for something. If you don’t want to trade yours in for living paycheck to paycheck, apply the following 5 strategies today.

1. Think bigger

Most people are trading their lives for small dreams. However, change happens when you think big. Be honest with yourself: are you thinking big in your business?

If not, start now! Think big about what you could do in 1 year, 3 years, 5 years, and 10 years. Create a vision board of what you want to have, do, and become in your life.

2. Start small

Though we must think big, we have to start small. This is the only way to achieve a goal. Take small actions over time that will lead to great change.

Grab a pen and paper and write out one financial step, physical step, emotional step, personal growth step, or relational step you can do today that you know will make a difference in your life. Just take the next right step; do one thing every day that will lead you a little closer to your goal.

3. Find a way for everyone to win

Adopt the philosophy of win-win or no deal. This applies in every area of your life. Whether in business or relationships, when you win and they lose, you take advantage of them and they get mad at you. When they win and you lose, you can’t afford to do business with them or be in a relationship with them. This will only create bitterness and resentment.

Find a way for the people in your life to win financially, in their growth plan, and in appreciation. Find a way to educate, empower, and equip them. When you add value to people, they will want to continue their journey with you. That’s a win-win.

4. Master your traffic and sales

When people come into your business, make sure you don’t lose the integrity of those touchpoints. Make every single person you do business with feel good and special.

Appreciate every sale, big or small. You never know which little sale will lead to a million-dollar sale.

5. Create an irresistible culture

Your company culture is like every other relationship in your world: if you don’t pay attention, you’ll pay the price, and it won’t be a good one.

Ask the following questions: Do people want to be around you? Do you drain people or lift them up? Do they feel good when they leave you? What are you doing that’s fun? What difference are you making in people’s lives that creates fun for them?

Then, write down what it would look like to work at a great company or live in a great house.
