What do you do that matters?
What kind of attitude are you getting up with every day?
What does your mindset say about you?
Today I’m sharing four steps to answer these questions in a way that will help you change your mindset and live life rich. I’ve used these steps over and over again in my business and they have helped me practically design my life and shape my financial future.
1. Have a burning desire
You must be in love with your goal; it must be everything to you.
To make this so, write it down and then make it visual everywhere around you. Cut out pictures, print them out on your computer, put your goal on your phone, and make it in your face every day.
Every day, ask yourself if you’re working towards your goal or blowing it off. If it’s truly a burning desire, you’ll reach it.
Finally, tell everyone about your burning desire. You’ll do more to not look like a fool than you would if you just kept your goal a secret and said, “Someday I’ll accomplish it.”
2. Develop absolute faith
You must have absolute faith that you were born for your goal and that you can do it no matter what.
You will have a bad quarter, month, or day. You have to be prepared at that time to have a no matter what attitude.
Tape index cards all around you that say no matter what. Get right back up every time you’re knocked down. Believe that you were given dominion and authority over this goal.
Creating absolute faith in your world comes with what you put in your mind early in the day. There’s so much negativity out there. Avoid it and, instead, look for the good. Look around and ask who you can serve, who’s on your team, how you and your team can do it better, and what’s next. This will fill your mind with absolute faith every day.
3. Practice positive self-talk
Self-talk is saying your goals to yourself every day. These must be “I am” statements about your goals that are in the present tense.
Every day, remind yourself that these statements may not be what you see, but they are who you are inside. They are waiting to manifest themselves in your life.
I challenge you to speak out your 90-day goal for the next 7 days. The more specific you can be, the better.
4. Specialize in something
Become the expert in one narrow focus. This is absolutely necessary in order to live life rich.
When you specialize and people know what you specialize in, you’ll go far. You just need to get out there and make sure everyone’s talking about what you want to be known for.
So think: what problem do you solve and how can you help people?
Truly, people will pay you for a specialty. Cardiologists make more than an MD because they specialize.
