2. Investing in Your Team
- Hire motivated people. You don’t want to hire people who are always waiting.
- Figure out their design. You can use a profiling tool such as DISC to figure out how they are designed, what they’re awesome at, and how you can plug them into the right area where they’re going to be in their A-game. Find their strengths and let them work on their strengths so they will feel successful and they will have results.
- Give them permission to play. Once you know you can trust them, they’re equipped, and they’re ready, give them permission to play and get out of the way. Do not micromanage them. Spend time seeding into your leaders, help them grow, ask them what they need and how you can serve them. Leave the door open for them so they can come back and be vulnerable with you. When you do that, the leaders emerge, they rise up, and they come to you.
3. Your Inner Circle
Be very careful who you let into your inner circle. Your inner circle will take you to where you’re going to grow. You will get stagnant and you will fall out if you stay with people who are not growing. Look at their bank accounts, their mindset, their relationships. If you don’t want to be them, limit your time with them. Choose carefully. Now, you can have different inner circles, different ones you know personally and professionally.
